Create Your Own Unique Rug in Just One Day!

Have you always wanted to try tufting? During this fun and relaxing workshop, you’ll create your own (wall)rug using a real tufting gun! You’ve probably seen the popular videos online — now it’s your turn to give it a go.

This workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced makers. With small groups of up to 8 people, there’s plenty of personal guidance. Step by step, you’ll learn the tufting technique and take home your very own handmade artwork.

What is Tufting?

Tufting is a textile technique where loops of yarn are "shot" into a stretched fabric using a tufting gun. It’s a fast, fun, and creative way to make colorful, soft designs like rugs, wall hangings, and even textile art. Compared to hand tufting, using a tufting gun is quicker and more precise — and very satisfying to do!

What to Expect During the Workshop

The workshop lasts around 5 hours. You’ll create a rug up to 60 x 40 cm or 50 x 50 cm (or a round shape up to 60 cm in diameter). Once finished, you can display your piece on the wall, place it on the floor, or even frame it for a more luxurious look.

Workshop Program

- Introduction: how to use the tufting gun
- Drawing your design on the stretched fabric (70 x 70 cm frame)
- Choosing your yarn (a wide range of colors available)
- Tufting your design with the tufting gun
- Finishing with glue
- Optional: shaving the surface for a clean, polished result

All materials, tools, drinks, and snacks are included.

Prepare Your Design in Advance

To get started quickly during the workshop, please prepare your design at home. Think of abstract shapes, floral motifs, landscapes, or seasonal themes. You can bring an existing idea or your own design.

Tip: Your design can be a maximum of 60 x 40 cm, 50 x 50 or circular with a diameter of max 60 cm.

Everything You Need is Provided

We provide all tools and materials:
- A sturdy wooden tufting frame
- High-quality yarns in various colors
- Tufting gun and tufting needles
- Scissors, hooks, and other tools
- Carpet glue for the final finish

All you need to bring is your design idea and your enthusiasm!
